The event will be officially opened by the Vice Dean for Education, Student Affairs, and Alumni of the Faculty of Vocational Education, Dr. Solahuddin Nasution, S.E., M.SP. The session will then feature a presentation by Ir. Ferry Rahmat Astianta Bukit, S.T., M.T., IPM, Secretary to the Director of the Directorate of Learning Digitalization at Universitas Sumatera Utara.
The socialization session will introduce participants to the concept of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), their role in advancing digital learning, and strategies for implementing the MOOC platform at Universitas Sumatera Utara. Participants will also gain insights into how MOOCs can enhance teaching and learning by providing flexible, technology-driven educational resources that are accessible to a wider audience.
Through this initiative, the Faculty of Vocational Education aims to encourage lecturers to develop innovative digital learning materials while strengthening technology-enhanced education across the university.
