The Dean`s Welcome Speech

Welcome to Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara where we craft expertise to inspire the future!

First of all, we express our gratitude to Allah SWT, because by His grace we can actualize the website of the Faculty of Vocational Studies, Universitas Sumatera Utara. This website is designed to provide educational and information services for the entire academic community of the Faculty of Vocational Studies and the general public. The Faculty of Vocational Studies was officially established on June 27, 2022. Currently, the Faculty of Vocational Studies oversees 14 Departments/Produced from 5 different Faculties, namely Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Faculty of Humanities and Faculty of Pharmacy. 14 Departments/Produces at D3 level, which include: Finance, Secretarial, Accounting, Tax Administration, English, Japanese, Library Science and Tourism. From the Science and Technology field there are Physics, Chemistry, Metrology and Instrumentation, Statistics, Informatics Engineering, and from the Health field there are Pharmaceutical and Food Analysts. The number of active students in the Faculty of Vocational Studies is currently around 2,500 students. The Learning Program set at the Faculty of Vocational Studies is based on applied competencies with a composition of 70% practice and 30% theory which is very relevant to be implemented in vocational education because it is in accordance with the main objectives of vocational education, which is to create graduates who are ready to work. With the rapid development of information technology, all information related to the Faculty of Vocational Studies of Universitas Sumatera Utara including study programs, history, alumni, up to the vision and mission of the Faculty of Vocational Studies of Universitas Sumatera Utara can be integrated and presented on this website. Therefore, we welcome the launch of the website of the Faculty of Vocational Studies, Universitas Sumatera Utara. We hope that this website can help and bridge between the Faculty of Vocational Studies and those who need information about this faculty. Thank you for your visit!

About Us

The Faculty of Vocational Studies at Universitas Sumatera Utara offers 14 Diploma III programs and 7 Applied Bachelor programs originating from six faculties: the Faculty of Economics and Business, the Faculty of Cultural Studies, the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, and the Faculty of Pharmacy.

Prayer Room kerohanian

The prayer room (mushola) is a worship facility provided for students, lecturers, and academic staff who wish to perform prayers and other religious activities. It is located in an easily accessible area, allowing users to worship comfortably between academic activities. The mushola is equipped with a clean prayer space, ablution area, and prayer essentials such as prayer mats, women’s prayer garments (mukena), and Qur'ans available for visitors to use.

Parking Lot umum

The parking area is a designated space provided specifically for the vehicles of students, lecturers, and academic staff. With this parking facility, the Faculty of Vocational Education at USU strives to provide a well-organized, safe, and comfortable campus environment for all members of the academic community who use private vehicles. Pavilion umum

Pendopo is an open area designed as a place to gather, discuss, and relax for students, lecturers, and academic staff. This building has a distinctive design with a wide roof without walls, providing a cool and comfortable atmosphere for various activities. Pendopo is often used as a place for informal meetings, group discussions, student organization activities. With its strategic location and comfortable atmosphere, pendopo is one of the favorite facilities for students to study outside the classroom, rest, or have interactive discussions. In addition to being a gathering place, pendopo is also an area that supports academic and social activities at the USU Faculty of Vocational Studies. The existence of pendopo reflects the faculty's commitment to creating an inclusive environment and supporting interaction between academicians in a more open and dynamic manner.
