Workshop on Weights, Measures, and Measuring Instruments (UTTP) Brings in Metrology Practitioners to Improve Participant Competencies
The Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), will organize a Workshop on the topic of Weights, Measures, and Measuring Instruments (UTTP) on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at the Faculty of Vocational Education USU Hall. The activity is scheduled to begin at 09.00 WIB and continue until completion.
This workshop will feature several speakers from the fields of metrology and industry to provide insights and understanding related to measurement, weighing, and measuring instruments (UTTP). The activity will serve as a platform for sharing knowledge and practical experience relevant to developments in the field of metrology and its application in the workplace.
The activity will begin with Opening Remarks by Junedi Ginting, S.Si., M.Si., Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Internationalization. The workshop will then feature three speakers, namely Badia Raja H. Siregar, S.T., M.A.P., Head of the DKI Jakarta Province Metrology Management Unit as Speaker 1; Dwi Budi Prasetyo, S.T., Operations Manager of PT Dakara Prima Indonesia as Speaker 2; and Alno Kurniawan, S.T., M.T., Head of the Regional I Metrology Legal Standardization Center (BSML) Medan as Speaker 3.
Through this activity, participants are expected to gain knowledge and insights into metrology practices and management, particularly those related to UTTP. The presence of speakers from government institutions and the industrial sector also provides an opportunity to strengthen the exchange of experience and collaborative relationships in developing competencies in the field of metrology.
