The Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara, announces to all prospective students that registration for the Independent Student Admission Selection (SMM) USU 2026 has officially opened. This pathway provides an opportunity for graduates of SMA/SMK/MA or equivalent to pursue higher education at Universitas Sumatera Utara, particularly in vocational study programs that focus on applied skills and job readiness.

Schedule

Registration: May 2 – June 10, 2026
Entrance Examination: June 13 – 16, 2026
Announcement of Results: June 26, 2026

Registration Requirements

Indonesian citizens (WNI) with a valid National Identification Number (NIK).
Final-year SMA/SMK/MA students or equivalent in 2026, or Package C participants in 2026, with a maximum age of 25 years (as of July 1, 2026).
Applicants who have not yet received their diploma must provide a certificate confirming they are in Grade 12, including:
- Identity details (name, class, NISN, and NPSN)
- Recent color photograph
- Signature of the Principal/Head of School
- Official school stamp across the photograph
Graduates of SMA/SMK/MA or equivalent from 2024 and 2025, or Package C graduates from 2024 and 2025, with a maximum age of 25 years (as of July 1, 2026).
Graduates from overseas equivalent schools must have their diplomas officially recognized/equated.

Registration Fees

IDR 600,000: 2 study program choices
IDR 700,000: 3 study program choices (minimum 1 vocational program)
IDR 800,000: 4 study program choices (minimum 1 vocational program)
