Recipients of the Faculty of Vocational Education USU Pioneer Community Service Grant for Fiscal Year 2026

The Faculty of Vocational Education at Universitas Sumatera Utara extends its congratulations and appreciation to the lecturers who have received the 2026 Pioneer Community Service (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat/PKM) Grant. This achievement reflects recognition of the lecturers’ commitment in carrying out the Tri Dharma of higher education, particularly in the field of community service focused on empowerment, innovation, and providing solutions for society.

The recipients of the 2026 Pioneer Community Service Grant within the Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara, are as follows:

  • Dona Tiara Lubis — Diploma Program in Metrology and Instrumentation
    Project Title: Improving Awareness of Post-Flood Water Consumption Feasibility through Education on pH Parameters and the Use of Independent Measuring Instruments in Tanjung Gusta Village
  • Fathurrahman — Diploma Program in Physics / Applied Bachelor’s Degree Program in Instrumentation Engineering Technology
    Project Title: Implementation of Multi-Level Water Filtration Technology as a Solution for Post-Disaster Clean Water Supply in Pematang Cengal Barat Village, Langkat Regency
  • Lailan Syafrina Hasibuan — Diploma Program in Finance / Applied Bachelor’s Degree Program in Banking and Finance
    Project Title: Integration of Preparedness Mitigation and Emergency Financial Literacy in Building Economically Resilient Communities at Al-Yahdi Foundation, Tanjung Gusta, Medan
  • Yudhistira Adhitya Pratama — Diploma Program in Informatics Engineering
    Project Title: Implementation of an Internet of Things-Based Flood Sensor System to Improve Early Warning Responsiveness in Tanjung Gusta

Through this program, lecturers are expected to continue delivering innovations and meaningful contributions to society through community service initiatives that are practical and directly impactful. The Faculty of Vocational Education USU remains committed to supporting the development of community service programs that align with societal needs and technological advancements.
