Medan – In conjunction with EXPO Vokasi USU 2026, the Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), is inviting university students and high school/vocational school students (SMA/SMK/MA) to join the EXPO Vokasi 2026 Photography Competition. The competition serves as a creative platform for young photographers to sharpen technical camera skills, capture visual storytelling moments, and communicate compelling messages regarding innovation, practical talent, and youth-led productivity in modern society.
Beyond artistic value, the initiative encourages participants to observe their immediate environments and document activities that reflect the spirit of applied skills. Through visual storytelling, the competition aims to highlight the role of vocational education in developing creative, competent, and technologically adaptive human resources.
Registration is free of charge and open to active students from high schools and higher education institutions. Winning entries will be awarded prizes and official certificates of recognition.

By hosting this photography contest, the Faculty of Vocational Education USU aims to strengthen visual communication skills, foster artistic innovation, and expand public appreciation for skill-based vocational education in the digital era.
This visual competition directly supports Sustainable Development Goals SDG 4 (Quality Education) by providing opportunities for non-formal creative skill development, as well as SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by highlighting applied vocational skills and youth talent through creative media.
