Universitas Sumatera Utara has officially established the 2026/2027 Academic Calendar, which serves as the main reference for academic activities, including registration, tuition fee payment, course registration, lectures, examinations, graduation, and other academic agendas throughout the academic year.
Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) has officially established the 2026/2027 Academic Calendar through Rector’s Decree No. 3508/UN5.1.R/SK/PK.00/2026, issued on July 29, 2026. The academic calendar serves as a guideline for the implementation of academic activities across USU, including registration, lectures, examinations, graduation, and other academic agendas.
According to the academic calendar, the Odd Semester of the 2026/2027 Academic Year will begin on August 18, 2026, and end on January 10, 2027. Re-registration and tuition fee payment are scheduled for August 1–13, 2026, while course registration (KRS) will take place from August 2–14, 2026. Lectures and practical sessions will begin on August 18, 2026, followed by the Mid-Semester Examination (UTS) on October 5–16, 2026, and the Final Semester Examination (UAS) on December 7–18, 2026.
Meanwhile, the Even Semester of the 2026/2027 Academic Year will run from January 22 to July 23, 2027. Re-registration and tuition fee payment will take place from January 11–21, 2027, while course registration will be conducted from January 12–22, 2027. Lectures will begin on January 25, 2027, with the Mid-Semester Examination scheduled for March 22–April 2, 2027, and the Final Semester Examination for May 24–June 4, 2027.
All students are encouraged to pay close attention to the established schedule, including deadlines for registration, applications for Academic Reinstatement (AKK), Academic Activity Postponement (PKA), graduation, and other academic activities. Adhering to the academic calendar will help ensure the smooth implementation of academic activities throughout the 2026/2027 Academic Year.
