The Applied Bachelor’s Degree Program in Statistics at the Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara, is designed to equip students with knowledge and practical skills in applied statistics relevant to industry needs. With a curriculum that combines theory and practice, students will learn data analysis techniques, statistical computing, surveys, and sampling methods. The program focuses on developing analytical competencies, mastery of statistical software, and strong data interpretation skills to support decision-making across various sectors. Through a project-based learning approach and collaboration with businesses and government agencies, students gain hands-on, practical experience. This program prepares graduates for careers as marketing surveyors, data analysts, and professional statistical experts who adapt to information technology developments.

- Conducting at least one (1) research activity by lecturers and/or in collaboration with students.

- Ensuring that at least 90% of graduates are employed in fields relevant to statistics within one year after graduation.
- Increasing the proportion of statistical software usage in each course to reach 80% by the third year of the program.
- Raising the level of student satisfaction with the quality of teaching and learning to an average score of 4.5 out of 5 in the student satisfaction survey each semester.
