Medan, August 12, 2025 — On Tuesday, August 12, 2025, the Public Sector Accounting D4 Program of the Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara, visited PT Perkebunan Nusantara IV (PTPN IV) Regional II to strengthen the existing collaboration. The meeting focused on discussing the practitioner lecturer program to be carried out at the industrial site to create a more immersive learning experience.

The delegation from the Public Sector Accounting D4 Program included the Head of Study Program, Sambas Ade Kesuma, SE, M.Si, Ph.D, Ak, CA; lecturers Risanty, SE, M.Si, Ak, CA; Juwita Agustrisna, SE, M.Si; and May Hana Bilqis Rangkuti, SE, M.Acc, Ak, CA, accompanied by academic staff member Alyssa. They were welcomed by the management of PTPN IV Regional II, including Mr. Budi Susanto, Region Head; Hwin Dwi Putra, Head of Human Resources; Arfian Zuhri Nasution, Head of Accounting; and Ady Putra Sinambela, Subject Matter Expert, PTPN Group.

During the meeting, both parties reviewed in detail the technical implementation of the practitioner lecturer program, from role distribution to syllabus alignment. This collaboration aims to ensure that the materials delivered are integrated between academic perspectives and practical experience, enabling students to gain more applicable learning.

The management of PTPN IV Regional II expressed full support for this synergy. Mr. Budi Susanto emphasized the importance of collaboration in developing accounting knowledge and shaping human resources with strong character, ready to face the challenges of the professional world.

This visit is expected to begin more concrete cooperation, particularly through the practitioner lecturer program. The collaboration between academics and practitioners is believed to provide tangible contributions to improving the quality of education and strengthening graduate competencies.
