Applied Bachelor's Degree Program in Statistics Students of the Faculty of Vocational Education Achieve Success at the National Essay and Business Plan Catalyst Future Competition 2026
Students from the Applied Bachelor's Degree Program in Statistics of the Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), have once again achieved a remarkable accomplishment at the national level through their participation in the National Essay and Business Plan Catalyst Future Competition 2026. The competition was organized by Futura Innovation Hub X ASIA 2026 at Universitas Andalas and took place on May 23–24, 2026, in Padang City.
In this competition, the Applied Bachelor's Degree Program in Statistics student team demonstrated outstanding performance in the Technology and Digital Economy subcategory. The team consisted of Arya Dwi Ardhana Wibowo, Anazta Rizky Fauzan Siagian, Ririn Ayundha Putri, Cahaya Nahura, and Sadina Umeko, under the supervision of Afdhal Ahkrizal, S.Si., M.Mat.
Through their hard work and innovative ideas, the team successfully earned several prestigious awards, including:

Gold Medal, National Essay Competition
Best Team, National Essay Competition
These achievements serve as clear evidence of the quality and competence of students of the Faculty of Vocational Education in research, innovation, and the development of creative ideas that are relevant to the current advancements in technology and the digital economy. The competition also provided a valuable platform for students to enhance their critical thinking, teamwork, scientific communication, and problem-solving skills while developing innovative solutions to challenges in the digital era.
The success of the Applied Bachelor's Degree Program in Statistics students is expected to inspire all students of the Faculty of Vocational Education to continue striving for excellence and actively participate in national and international competitions. The Faculty of Vocational Education extends its appreciation for the team's accomplishments and acknowledges the dedication of both the students and their supervising lecturer in bringing honor to the institution.
