Medan, July 31, 2024 – The Faculty of Vocational Education at Universitas Sumatera Utara hosted a collaborative meeting with the Faculty of Social and Humanities at Institut Agama Kristen Negeri (IAKN) Tarutung in the auditorium of the Faculty of Vocational Education. The event was attended by the Vice Dean I and Vice Dean III, along with the Head and Secretary of the Diploma Program in Statistics and the Diploma Program in Informatics Engineering from the Faculty of Vocational Education. Dr. Maringan Sinambela, M.Th, Dean of FISHK IAKN Tarutung, and faculty members of the Diploma Program in Statistics and Information Technology were also present.

Subsequently, the Faculty of Vocational Education at Universitas Sumatera Utara signed a Cooperation Agreement Document and an Implementation Arrangement with the Faculty of Social and Humanities at IAKN Tarutung. This collaboration focuses on curriculum development and implementing the MBKM (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka) program for the “Desa Cinta Statistik” initiative. This partnership is also expected to facilitate research and community service activities to develop tourist villages, enhancing their growth and visibility to the broader public.
