The High School Chemistry Olympiad is an academic competition designed to develop students’ abilities, creativity, and analytical skills in the field of chemistry. Through this activity, participants are expected to increase their interest in chemistry while fostering a spirit of healthy competition and sportsmanship among students.

The competition consisted of a written examination in the form of multiple-choice questions covering both fundamental and advanced concepts in chemistry. Participants were also challenged with questions based on experimental scenarios and the application of chemical concepts in everyday life.

At the end of the competition, ten best participants were selected as winners, consisting of 2 gold medalists, 3 silver medalists, and 5 bronze medalists.

This activity was held at the Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara, in Rooms 305–306.
