Medan, September 22, 2026 – The Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), extends its congratulations and appreciation to lecturers who have successfully obtained Simple Patent Certificates from the Ministry of Law of the Republic of Indonesia for an innovation in the field of technology.
The Simple Patent Certificate was granted for an invention entitled “Manual Hydraulic Pressing System with Loadcell Sensor and Digital Indicator for Powder Sample Preparation.”
The innovation was developed by a team of inventors consisting of:
- Fathurrahman, M.Si. (Applied Bachelor's Degree Program in Instrumentation Engineering Technology, Faculty of Vocational Education USU)
- Ilfa Husna Pulungan, S.Si., M.Si. (Applied Bachelor's Degree Program in Instrumentation Engineering Technology, Faculty of Vocational Education USU)
- Dr. Baihaqi Siregar, S.Si., M.T. (Master's Program in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology USU)
The Simple Patent Certificate is registered under Patent Number IDS000015051, with a filing date of February 19, 2025, and a grant date of September 7, 2026.
The Faculty of Vocational Education USU appreciates this achievement as a form of lecturers' contribution to producing innovations and intellectual works that support the development of science and technology. The receipt of this patent certificate is expected to encourage the academic community to continue creating, developing applied research, and producing innovations that benefit society.
