Medan, November 22, 2025 - The Vocation Expo Series and the 2025 Anniversary of the USU Faculty of Vocational Studies once again served as a platform to showcase the creativity and potential of vocational students. This year, students from the Diploma Program in Finance and the Applied Bachelor’s Degree Program in Banking and Finance appeared united and outstanding through the Innovation Expo, which combined financial education, digital innovation, and healthy-value functional food products.
Finance & Banking and Finance students presented a variety of works that attracted visitors’ attention. Their financial education exhibition included simulations of budget management, financial planning, and the introduction of investment risks and instruments in a visual and communicative manner.
In addition to financial works, students also presented food products with high benefits and rich in antioxidants, as a form of cross-disciplinary creativity. This innovation demonstrates how finance students are able to integrate business opportunities, health trends, and market analysis skills into a single, attractive product concept.
Not only that, students also introduced an innovation in digital reporting services for violence against women and children, a technology-based platform developed to support victim protection in a fast, safe, and integrated manner. The presence of this innovation shows finance students’ concern for social issues as well as their ability to create technology-based solutions.
The active participation of Diploma Program in Finance and Applied Bachelor’s Degree Program in Banking and Finance students at Expo 2025 also yielded sweet results through a number of awards successfully achieved, namely:

These achievements prove that finance students are not only academically excellent, but also creative, communicative, and able to compete across various competition categories.
The 2025 Faculty of Vocational Studies Expo featured a variety of activities such as innovation exhibitions, IDUKA showcases, MSME bazaars, and discussion sessions with industry practitioners. Finance students played an active role throughout the entire series, from providing education to visitors to professionally presenting their innovative works.
The involvement of finance students in the 2025 Vocational Innovation Expo demonstrates that vocational education has successfully shaped a generation that is adaptive, innovative, and sensitive to industry developments as well as social issues. From financial innovations and healthy antioxidant-rich food products to digital applications for the protection of women and children, USU Vocational Finance students have proven that they are young talents ready to create, compete, and make real contributions to society and the industrial world.
