Makassar, July 18, 2024 – Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) proudly sent two Faculty of Vocational Education teams to participate in the 9th Indonesian Vocational Olympiad (OLIVIA), hosted by Hasanuddin University this year. Under the theme "Inspiring the Future Through Empowering Innovative Human Resources and Digital-Based Entrepreneurship," the 9th OLIVIA brought together outstanding students from various vocational education institutions across Indonesia.

In this prestigious competition, the Faculty of Vocational Education at Universitas Sumatera Utara successfully advanced two student teams to the grand final. KO-TEAM was a finalist in the Scientific Writing: Scientific Papers and Technology category, while THE BIKKER’S secured a spot as a finalist in the Business Plan category. The Dean of the Faculty of Vocational Education, Prof. Dr. Isfenti Sadalia, SE., I also attended the event.

The Indonesian Vocational Olympiad (OLIVIA) is a distinguished competition for students from vocational education institutions across Indonesia. This event aims to foster innovation and skill development in vocational fields, while also equipping students with entrepreneurial spirit and digital competencies essential for tackling future challenges.

Hopefully, the success of these two USU student teams will inspire other students to continue innovating and contributing to the nation's advancement.
