Unplanned tourism development often threatens the sustainability of local resources, both environmentally and culturally. Simanindo District, known for the natural beauty of Lake Toba and the rich Batak Toba culture, faces challenges in preserving its local wisdom amidst modernization and increasing tourist visits. Therefore, a local wisdom-based strategy is essential to ensure sustainable tourism development while maintaining respect for and involving the local community.
