Medan, August 26, 2025 – The Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), successfully held the 4th Graduation Ceremony for the 2024/2025 Academic Year on Tuesday (26/8) at the USU Faculty of Nursing Auditorium. This special occasion marked the conclusion of the students’ academic journey and the beginning of their new chapter in contributing to society.

The event opened with a formal procession led by the Dean of the Faculty of Vocational Education, Prof. Isfenti Sadalia, SE., ME., who, in her remarks, expressed appreciation for the students’ hard work and dedication throughout their studies. She emphasized USU’s ongoing commitment to producing graduates who possess academic competence and practical skills relevant to industry needs. The ceremony continued with reading the Graduation Decree for Diploma Program Graduates of the 4th Period, Academic Year 2024/2025, delivered by Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Vocational Education, Dr. Drs. Muhammad Husni Tamrin, M.Si.

As a form of recognition for outstanding achievements, 12 students with the highest GPA from each study program were invited to the stage to receive graduation sashes directly from the Dean and certificates presented by their respective Heads of Study Program. Among them, one of the most remarkable was Faiz Hazim Hawari, a graduate of the Diploma III in Informatics Engineering Program, who not only achieved the highest GPA in the Faculty of Vocational Education with 3.97 but also earned the highest GPA across Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) in the 4th Graduation Period of the 2024/2025 Academic Year. In his remarks, Faiz expressed gratitude for his accomplishment and encouraged fellow graduates to continue striving, innovating, and confidently embracing the professional world.

In her motivational speech, Dean Prof. Isfenti Sadalia, SE., ME., inspired all participants by underscoring the Faculty’s vision of nurturing excellent talent. With the motto “Ready to Work, Ready to Create”, she encouraged graduates to face the increasingly competitive job market confidently while also daring to create entrepreneurial opportunities that contribute to the nation’s economy.
The ceremony concluded with student performances, adding vibrancy to the celebration. The graduates’ enthusiasm and optimism shone brightly, reflecting their readiness to embark on professional careers and make meaningful contributions to society, North Sumatra, and Indonesia.
