Medan, August 21, 2025 – The Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) organized an Accreditation Workshop with the Independent Accreditation Board for Engineering (LAM Teknik), attended by faculty leaders, lecturers, and study program representatives within the Faculty of Vocational Education. The workshop was conducted via Zoom Meeting on Monday, August 21, 2025, at 10:00 WIB, from the Faculty of Vocational Education Building at USU.
The event was officially opened with remarks by the Dean of the Faculty of Vocational Education, Prof. Dr. Isfenti Sadalia, SE., ME. The workshop then continued with the first session of Prof. Dr. Ir. Era Purwanto, M.Eng., focusing on the Curriculum and the Self-Evaluation Report (LED) for LAM Teknik. This presentation highlighted the importance of developing curricula in accordance with accreditation standards and strategies for preparing the LED as a key instrument for quality assessment of study programs.
The second session was presented by Prof. Ir. Maya Sarah, S.T., M.T., Ph.D., IPM, who discussed the Study Program Performance Report (LKPS) for LAM Teknik. Her presentation emphasized the significance of program performance data in supporting accreditation indicators and provided technical guidance on preparing LKPS documents. The event was moderated by Mrs. Dona Tiara Lubis, S.T., M.T., who also facilitated the interactive discussion and Q&A session. This forum provided a platform for sharing experiences while deepening understanding of the LAM Teknik accreditation process.
The workshop concluded with a summary and closing remarks by the moderator, who reaffirmed the importance of thorough preparation for the accreditation process as part of continuous efforts to improve the quality of education at the Faculty of Vocational Education, USU.
Through this workshop, it is expected that all study programs within the Faculty of Vocational Education, USU will be better prepared for the LAM Teknik accreditation process, while enhancing their competitiveness and academic quality at national and international levels.
