Follow-Up on PKM Perintis Proposal Submission and Signing of PKM Perintis Contracts for Fiscal Year 2026
Medan, May 12, 2026 – The Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara, held a Follow-Up Meeting on the Submission of Community Service Program (PKM) Perintis Proposals and the Signing of PKM Perintis Contracts for the 2026 Fiscal Year. The event took place in Room 307, Building B, and was attended by the Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Internationalization, the Dean’s expert staff, and lecturers.
The activity reflects the faculty’s commitment to improving the quality and implementation of community service programs conducted by lecturers within the Faculty of Vocational Education USU. The event was officially opened by the Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Internationalization, who expressed appreciation to all lecturers who participated in submitting PKM Perintis proposals for the 2026 fiscal year. He also expressed hope that this program would serve as a platform for academics to make meaningful contributions to society through innovative and sustainable community service activities.
The program began with a report presentation on the PKM Perintis activities for the 2026 fiscal year, outlining the processes of proposal submission, selection, and implementation stages. Subsequently, the names of the PKM Perintis funding recipients were announced based on the Dean’s Decree of the Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Number 3594/UN5/D/FVokasi/PM/2026 concerning the Determination of Community Service Program (PKM) Perintis Grant Recipients at the Faculty of Vocational Education USU.
The recipients are as follows:
Dona Tiara Lubis from the Diploma III Metrology and Instrumentation Study Program, with the community service title “Increasing Awareness of Water Consumption Feasibility After Floods through Education on pH Parameters and Independent Measurement Tools in Tanjung Gusta Village.”
Fathurrahman from the Diploma III Physics / Applied Bachelor of Instrumentation Engineering Technology Study Program, with the title “Application of Multi-Layer Water Filtration Technology as a Clean Water Solution for Post-Disaster Areas in Pematang Cengal Barat Village, Langkat Regency.”
Lailan Syafrina Hasibuan from the Diploma III Finance / Applied Bachelor of Banking and Finance Study Program, with the title “Integration of Disaster Preparedness Mitigation and Emergency Financial Literacy in Building Economically Resilient Communities at Al-Yahdi Foundation, Tanjung Gusta Medan.”
Yudhistira Adhitya Pratama from the Diploma III Informatics Engineering Study Program, with the title “Implementation of an IoT-Based Flood Sensor System for Early Warning Responsiveness Improvement in Tanjung Gusta.”
The event continued with the signing of the PKM Perintis contracts for the 2026 fiscal year as a formal commitment to the implementation of the program between the faculty and the grant recipients. This signing is expected to support the smooth execution of community service activities and enhance the quality of program outputs that benefit society.
Through this activity, the Faculty of Vocational Education USU continues to demonstrate its support for the development of the Tridharma of Higher Education, particularly in community service that has a direct impact on the environment and the wider community.
