Medan, September 15, 2026 – The Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara, extends its appreciation and congratulations to nine lecturers who successfully obtained Competency Certificates issued by the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP) in the fields of Data Science and Internet of Things (IoT).
The attainment of these competency certifications represents one form of the commitment of lecturers at the Faculty of Vocational Education USU to improving their competencies and professionalism in accordance with technological developments and the needs of the workforce.
The lecturers who successfully obtained the competency certifications are:
Data Science – Associate Data Scientist Qualification
- Afdhal Ahkrizal – Applied Bachelor's Degree Program in Statistics
- Ema Sri Rezeki – Applied Bachelor's Degree Program in Statistics
- Saddam Husein Nasution – Applied Bachelor's Degree Program in Statistics
Internet of Things – IoT Device Engineer Qualification
- Sally Irvina Ritonga – Diploma Program in Metrology and Instrumentation
- Ade Maulana – Diploma Program in Informatics Engineering
- Amty Ma’rufah Ardhiyah Dalimunthe – Applied Bachelor's Degree Program in Instrumentation Engineering Technology
- Zulhamsyah Fachrurrazi Nasution – Diploma Program in Informatics Engineering
- Masherlina – Applied Bachelor's Degree Program in Instrumentation Engineering Technology
- Subhan Fahmi Nasution – Diploma Program in Metrology and Instrumentation
The attainment of BNSP competency certificates is expected to further strengthen the capacity of lecturers to provide learning that is relevant to technological developments and industry needs. The competencies acquired also serve as an important foundation for supporting the development of vocational education that is adaptive, innovative, and oriented toward the needs of the workforce.
