Educational Visit from SMA Swasta Islam Terpadu Kota Tanjungbalai

Medan, May 7, 2026 – The Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), received an educational visit from SMA Swasta Islam Terpadu Kota Tanjungbalai to introduce vocational higher education to students. The activity took place within the Faculty of Vocational Education, the USU environment.

The visit was warmly welcomed by the Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Internationalization of the Faculty of Vocational Education USU, who delivered a speech and introduced the faculty profile to the participants. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of vocational education as a higher education pathway oriented toward competency strengthening, practical skills, and workforce readiness in the industrial sector.

During the session, students were also introduced to various study programs available at the Faculty of Vocational Education USU, ranging from health, technology, business, to creative industries. The information provided aimed to give students a clear understanding of the learning process, career opportunities, and the advantages of vocational education, which prioritizes practical training and field experience.

Through this activity, it is hoped that students will gain new insights into vocational education and become more motivated to continue their studies at the higher education level according to their interests and potential. The Faculty of Vocational Education USU also remains committed to opening spaces for collaboration and educational outreach with schools as part of introducing higher education to the younger generation.
