Graduation Ceremony of the USU Faculty of Vocational Education – Period III Academic Year 2024/2025
Medan, May 11, 2025 – The Faculty of Vocational Education at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) officially held its first Graduation Ceremony for Diploma Program graduates of Period III, Academic Year 2024/2025. Held at the Faculty Hall, this event marked a historic milestone since the establishment of the faculty as a standalone entity within USU.
The ceremony began with an opening by the MC, followed by the formal procession of the Dean and Heads of Study Programs entering the graduation hall. The atmosphere was solemn with the national anthem “Indonesia Raya” being sung and a prayer recitation.
In her speech, the Dean of the Faculty of Vocational Education, Prof. Isfenti Sadalia, S.E., M.E., expressed gratitude and appreciation for the graduates' achievements. She also encouraged the graduates to become competent, adaptive vocational professionals ready to compete in a dynamic and challenging job market.
Vice Dean I, Dr. Drs. Muhammad Husni Thamrin, M.Si, read the official Graduation Decree. Afterwards, graduates from each study program were symbolically called to the stage to receive sashes and certificates to recognize their dedication throughout their academic journey.
The event was enlivened by a performance by accounting students and a heartfelt message from Aileen Regina Tabitha Tarigan, a graduating representative from the Tax Administration Study Program.
The ceremony concluded with a group photo session and the official closing by the Dean. Graduates left the hall filled with pride and renewed spirit as they prepared to enter the professional world.
Through this inaugural graduation ceremony, it is hoped that the graduates will excel academically, be globally competitive, and be ready to meet the growing demand for skilled vocational professionals.
