Medan, September 21, 2026 – The Student Association of Informatics Engineering (HIMTI), Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), held the Inauguration of the HIMTI Daily Management Board (BPH) for the 2026–2027 Period on Monday, September 21, 2026, at the Faculty of Vocational Education USU Hall. The activity served as an important momentum for the inauguration of the new management board while strengthening students' commitment to developing an active, innovative organization that contributes to the advancement of the study program.
The inauguration was attended by the Vice Dean for Education, Student Affairs, and Alumni Affairs, the Head of the Informatics Engineering Study Program, lecturers of the Informatics Engineering Study Program, representatives of the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Vocational Education, representatives of student associations of study programs within the Faculty of Vocational Education, and students.
The series of activities began with remarks from the Vice Dean for Education, Student Affairs, and Alumni Affairs, Dr. Solahuddin Nasution, S.E., M.SP. In his remarks, he provided guidance and motivation to the newly inaugurated HIMTI management board members to carry out their organizational mandate responsibly, uphold integrity, and build good collaboration in supporting student development and the advancement of the Faculty of Vocational Education USU.
Furthermore, the Head of the Informatics Engineering Study Program, Yudhistira Adhitya Pratama, S.Kom., M.Kom., delivered remarks. He expressed support and guided the HIMTI management board for the 2026–2027 period to implement work programs in a directed manner, enhance student creativity, and strengthen the organization's role in supporting academic and non-academic activities within the study program.
The inauguration of the HIMTI BPH for the 2026–2027 Period was conducted by the Head of the Informatics Engineering Study Program. The inauguration symbolized the official beginning of the new management period as well as the reaffirmation of the management board members' responsibilities in carrying out their organizational mandate.
The activity continued with remarks from the Chairperson of the HIMTI BPH for the 2026–2027 Period, who expressed the management board's commitment and readiness to carry out its organizational responsibilities throughout the management period. Through the new management board, HIMTI is expected to serve as a platform for developing the potential of Informatics Engineering students, strengthening solidarity, and organizing work programs that benefit students and the academic environment.
With the implementation of this inauguration, HIMTI of the Faculty of Vocational Education USU is expected to continue developing as a student organization that promotes innovation, improves competencies in information technology, and builds synergy among students and student organizations within the Faculty of Vocational Education USU. The management board for the 2026–2027 period is expected to carry out its duties consistently and make positive contributions to the advancement of students, the study program, and the faculty.
