Medan, July 23, 2024 – The Faculty of Vocational Education at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) celebrated the inauguration of its Investment Gallery while launching a series of events for its 2nd Anniversary or Dies Natalis on Tuesday, July 23, 2024. The event ran smoothly and successfully from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM WIB.
The event was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Vocational Education USU, Prof. Dr. Isfenti Sadalia, SE., ME., who, in her opening speech, highlighted the importance of the Investment Gallery as a tool to enhance capital market literacy and as a hands-on learning facility for students.

Also in attendance was the Head of the Financial Services Authority (OJK) for North Sumatra Province, Mr. Khoirul Muttaqien, who expressed full support for this initiative. In addition, Ms. Nur Harjantie, Senior Vice President of Regional Development 1 of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), expressed appreciation for the Faculty of Vocational Education’s progressive step in facilitating practical learning on capital markets. Mr. Tomi Taufan, Director of PT Mirae Asset Sekuritas Indonesia, also shared his insights on the importance of capital market education among students.
The newly inaugurated Investment Gallery is expected to become a center for learning and practice for students, academics, and the general public. Designed to provide an in-depth understanding of capital markets through various programs and activities, this facility aims to significantly boost financial literacy among the academic community and surrounding society. With the support of the Teaching Factory Investment Gallery, this initiative is hoped to cultivate an investment-savvy young generation.
