The Diploma Program in Metrology and Instrumentation inaugurated the Metrology and Instrumentation Student Association (HIMMI) Management for the 2024/2025 Period at the Faculty of Vocational Education Hall on Tuesday, October 08, 2024. Mr. Junedi Ginting, S.Si, M.Si (Head of The Diploma Program in Metrology and Instrumentation), inaugurated the HIMMI management.
Before the inauguration was held, the Head of The Diploma Program in Metrology and Instrumentation held that HIMMI must be able to develop soft skills, collaboration between study program associations, BEM within the USU Faculty of Vocational Education as well as with similar study programs in Indonesia to be able to face and solve global challenges, especially in the field of measuring, weighing and weighing. Meanwhile, Mr. Drs. Gustanto, M.Hum, as Deputy Dean III of the USU Faculty of Vocational Education, gave appreciation and enthusiasm to the elected HIMMI management and all The Diploma Program in Metrology and Instrumentation students have bright hopes for the issuance of PERMENPANRB in 2023 which states that the metrology competency certificate owned by alums has a plus 20% value for Metrology and Instrumentation alums who wish to apply for CPNS / P3K.
The HIMMI management must be able to synergize with the Study Program Leaders because of the many activities of the Study Program with Cooperation partners, for example, Metrology Training Education, which is carried out in collaboration between the USU Faculty of Vocational Education and the Bandung Quality and Trade Services Supervisory Agency (BPMJP) with APBN funding sources.
Ephraim Sipayung (Dimisomer) remarks that the elected HIMMI management for the 2024/2025 Period must be able to foster the internal kinship of The Diploma Program in Metrology and Instrumentation students. This togetherness will create a force that can collaborate with related agencies to realize orderly measurement. Pardamean Simamora, the elected chairman of HIMMI for the 2024/2025 period, in his remarks, said HIMMI would continue to collaborate with partners who the Study Program had fostered after receiving direction from the head of The Diploma Program in Metrology and Instrumentation. Through field studies, cooperation partners, education, and training, HIMMI continues to support students so that they are educated to increase their qualified hard skills and soft skills.
