Medan, August 2025 — In commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held a series of competitions among lecturers and education staff (tendik) from all faculties. This event served as a platform for camaraderie, togetherness, and a means of fostering nationalism within the campus environment.

On this occasion, the Faculty of Vocational Education USU proudly won four awards, namely:

  • 1st Place in Karaoke Competition

  • 1st Place in Women’s Table Tennis

  • 2nd Place in Women’s Tug of War

  • 3rd Place in Women’s Stilt Race

These achievements not only highlight the solidarity and sportsmanship of the lecturers and education staff of the Faculty of Vocational Education but also reflect their enthusiasm for celebrating the moment of independence. More than just competitions, this activity symbolizes the unity of the USU academic community in joyfully commemorating the nation’s historic day.

With these accomplishments, the Faculty of Vocational Education USU hopes that the values of togetherness, sportsmanship, and kinship that have been fostered can be continuously upheld. The spirit born from the celebration of the 80th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia is also expected to motivate the faculty, the university, and the wider community to continue contributing positively.
