As part of efforts to strengthen a more structured synergy between the study program and the industrial sector, the Applied Bachelor’s Program in Applied Chemistry organized a partner discussion through a gathering activity held on December 5, 2025. This initiative reflects an initial commitment from several alumni and practitioner lecturers to open opportunities for internships, industrial visits, and the exploration of applied research collaborations in the field of chemistry.
The discussion also generated several partnership ideas, including regular guest lectures from industry practitioners, the development of soft skills and work-readiness materials, and potential direct recruitment of graduates from the Applied Bachelor’s Program in Applied Chemistry, Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara, by partner companies.
Through this activity, it is expected that stronger collaboration between academia and industry can be established, ultimately enhancing the quality of education and expanding career opportunities for students.
