PKKMB 2025 at Universitas Sumatera Utara was successfully conducted on August 13–15, 2025. The event, officially opened by Rector Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, featured a wide range of materials. The Applied Bachelor’s Program in Public Sector Accounting introduced its identity and learning system while emphasizing the importance of academic ethics.
Medan, August 15, 2025 — The Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus bagi Mahasiswa Baru (PKKMB) 2025 was successfully held over three days, from August 13 to 15, 2025. This annual event serves as an entry point for new students to become acquainted with the academic environment while preparing themselves to face university life.
The first day of PKKMB was officially opened by the Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara, Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., at the USU Mini Stadium. From the following sessions until the third day, faculty-level activities were held at the USU Auditorium. During the first two days, the agenda covered faculty and study program introductions, student association presentations, student activity units, as well as sessions on leadership, academic ethics, digital literacy, and national insights. All of these materials were designed to foster students with strong character, global competitiveness, and the ability to contribute meaningfully to society.
The second day highlighted the study program introduction session. Head of the Applied Bachelor’s Program in Public Sector Accounting, Sambas Ade Kesuma, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D., Ak., CA, presented the program’s identity and branding, explained its learning system, and emphasized the importance of upholding ethics in academic life.
PKKMB concluded on the third day with a student talent competition from each study program. Students from the Applied Bachelor’s Program in Public Sector Accounting participated with a modern dance performance and successfully won third place. In addition, they were also awarded as winners of the most spirited chant category.
With this series of introductions and provisions, PKKMB 2025 is expected not only to strengthen solidarity but also to equip new students with academic readiness, essential skills, and the spirit to grow and excel.
