Through the collaboration with Gulf University, Bahrain, Public Sector Accounting Study Program opens up opportunities for research and development of internationally standardized curriculum.

Medan, 06th October 2025 – The Faculty of Vocational Studies, University of North Sumatra (USU), strengthened international academic cooperation through the signing of an Implementation of Agreement (IA) between the Public Sector Accounting Study Program and the Accounting and Finance Program, Gulf University, Bahrain. The signing was carried out by Prof. Dr. Isfenti Sadalia, S.E., M.E., as Dean of the Faculty of Vocational Studies at USU, and Dr. Mujeeb Saif Mohsen Al-Absy, Assistant Professor of Accounting and Finance at Gulf University, Bahrain.

 

This collaboration represents a concrete step in expanding synergy between the two institutions, particularly in education, research, and academic competency development. Through this IA, both study programs are committed to implementing collaborative activities such as joint research, academic exchanges, and the development of globally oriented curricula.
 

As part of the initial implementation of the collaboration, a Systematic Literature Review Writing Workshop was held, featuring Dr. Mujeeb as the keynote speaker. This workshop served as a momentum to strengthen the research and scientific publication capacity of lecturers and students within the Faculty of Vocational Studies, while also opening up opportunities for cross-country knowledge exchange.

 

In her remarks, Prof. Dr. Isfenti Sadalia stated that this collaboration reflects the commitment of the Faculty of Vocational Studies to developing international networks and enhancing the quality of vocational education relevant to global needs.

 

Through the Public Sector Accounting Study Program, the Faculty of Vocational Studies continues to strive toward realizing its vision of becoming a world-class vocational education center with integrity, competence, and creates a positive impact on society.
