On Tuesday, October 14, 2025, the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) through SiMOLEK (Financial Literacy and Education Mobile Unit) visited Building B of the Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), in an event titled “SiMOLEK Visits the Faculty of Vocational Education, USU.” This interactive educational activity aimed to enhance students’ literacy and understanding of Indonesia’s capital market. Students from various study programs enthusiastically visited the educational mobile unit, which was equipped with extensive information about investments, stocks, mutual funds, and other financial instruments.

During the education session, representatives from the Indonesia Stock Exchange explained key topics, including the difference between blue-chip and speculative stocks, as well as the distinction between technical and fundamental analysis in making investment decisions. The presentation helped students understand that investing is not merely about buying stocks, but also requires evaluating company quality and applying appropriate analytical strategies.

Students participated actively throughout the session, engaging in discussions on essential topics such as personal financial management, identifying legitimate investments, choosing suitable financial instruments, understanding risk profiles, and selecting the right investment products.

Through the SiMOLEK Visits the Faculty of Vocational Education, USU program, the Indonesia Stock Exchange hopes that students will become more financially literate and prudent in managing their finances, as well as be inspired to take their first steps toward becoming knowledgeable and ethical young investors.
