Medan, August 22, 2025—The Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), organized a workshop on accreditation by the Independent Accreditation Institute for Natural Sciences and Formal Sciences (LAMSAMA). The event, which took place at the Faculty of Vocational Education Building on Tuesday (22/8), was attended by faculty leaders, lecturers, and representatives from study programs within the Faculty of Vocational Education.
The program began with participant registration, followed by the singing of Indonesia Raya, a joint prayer, and an opening speech by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Husni Thamrin, M.Si., Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Vocational Education.
The workshop featured keynote speaker Prof. Dr. Cut Fatimah Zuhra, S.Si., M.Si., who presented material on the Introduction to Study Program Accreditation Instruments (IAPS) version 3.0 and the Preparation for Accreditation Instrument Submission. In her presentation, she comprehensively explained the standards, instruments, and technical steps for compiling LAMSAMA accreditation documents per current regulations.
The session was moderated by Juli Novita Sari, S.Si., M.Si., who also facilitated an interactive discussion and Q&A session. Participants actively raised questions and discussed the challenges and strategies for implementing accreditation instruments in their study programs.
The event concluded with a summary delivered by the moderator.
Through this workshop, it is expected that the study programs within the Faculty of Vocational Education at USU will gain a deeper understanding of LAMSAMA accreditation instruments, enabling them to prepare systematic and standardized accreditation documents that support the enhancement of vocational education quality at Universitas Sumatera Utara.
