Medan – Students of the Diploma Program in Food and Pharmaceutical Analyst, USU Faculty of Vocational Education, participated in the National Competency Examination for Vocational Pharmacy Students (UKOMNAS PDVF) Computer-Based Test (CBT) Method Period I 2026, held on Saturday, August 1, 2026. The examination for USU participants was conducted at the CBT Center of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sumatera Utara. The schedule was in accordance with Letter No. 094/TIMADHOC.UKOMNAS.PDVF/VII/2026 issued by the Ad Hoc Team for the National Competency Examination for Vocational Pharmacy Students, dated July 29, 2026.

A total of 40 students from the Diploma Program in Food and Pharmaceutical Analyst, USU Faculty of Vocational Education, participated in the UKOM-CBT as part of the competency evaluation stage for students in higher vocational pharmacy education. The examination was conducted nationally and coordinated by the 2026 Ad Hoc Team for the National Competency Examination for Vocational Pharmacy Students.

One day before the examination, on Friday, July 31, 2026, a UKOMNAS PDVF briefing was held at the assigned examination site. The briefing at CBT PL 03, Faculty of Medicine, USU, was conducted together with representatives from several other institutions, including Medan Health Polytechnic of the Ministry of Health and Helvetia Institute of Health. The briefing aimed to prepare for the examination, establish a common understanding of the examination mechanisms and regulations, and ensure technical readiness before the examination. The official letter from the Ad Hoc Team also stipulated that the Local Proctor assignment would take place from July 31 to August 1, 2026, consisting of the briefing and implementation of the UKOMNAS PDVF.

Participation in the UKOMNAS PDVF is an important component in ensuring that graduates achieve competencies in accordance with professional standards and the academic field of vocational pharmacy. Through the nationally administered competency examination, students are expected to demonstrate their mastery of knowledge, analytical skills, and ability to apply the competencies acquired throughout their education.
