Daring to step out of their comfort zone, two Public Sector Accounting Diploma 4 students were selected as North Sumatra Student Ambassadors and are ready to inspire students through real action!

Medan, Desember 06, 2025 — Another proud achievement has been made by students of the Public Sector Accounting D4 Study Program. Two selected students, Gracia Ella Laura Munthe and Stevy Anggreani Purba, were crowned North Sumatra Student Ambassadors. This prestigious youth development program focuses on leadership, character, self-confidence, and tangible contributions to the world of education and society.

For Gracia, this title is deeply meaningful and valuable as it was her first. The opportunity to develop her public speaking skills, leadership abilities, discipline, and expand her network has successfully pushed her out of her comfort zone. Gracia views this event as a positive and productive space for growth.

During the selection process and training period, Gracia admitted that she felt nervous, especially when she had to speak in front of many people. However, she calmed herself down and practiced consistently. This helped her overcome her anxiety and even boosted her confidence and courage to speak up.

As a vocational student, Gracia views the Student Ambassador program as a platform to promote positive values and become an agent of change. She wants to continue utilizing social media as an educational space, creating content that builds self-confidence and shares inspiring stories to motivate other students to strive for excellence.

“Never feel inferior to the point of doubting your own abilities. Every effort is an investment in the future. Being an outstanding student doesn’t mean you have to be perfect, but you have to be willing to go through the process to make it happen. Don't be afraid of failure, because it is through that process that we grow.” – Gracia's message to students and other learners.

On the other hand, this event was also a first for Stevy. For her, the opportunity to gain experience and develop herself through this event will be valuable for the future. During the selection process and training period, Stevy admitted that she did not face any significant obstacles, but instead gained many valuable lessons.

According to Stevy, being a Student Ambassador means being at the forefront as a role model for other students. She emphasizes the importance of having a positive attitude and continuing to improve performance in both academic and non-academic fields. In addition, strengthening soft skills and personal branding are also important so that students are prepared for the future.

As the North Sumatra Student Ambassador, Stevy wants to contribute through an educational roadshow program that not only reaches the campus environment but also orphanages and schools in areas with limited access to education. Through this program, she wants to motivate students not to let financial limitations or facilities become obstacles.

Limitations can actually be a motivation to dream big, starting with small steps. Especially since we live alongside increasingly advanced technology, which, if studied properly, can be a friend on the road to success,” said Stevy.

Gracia and Stevy’s success as North Sumatra Student Ambassadors once again demonstrates that vocational students are not only outstanding in practical and academic competencies but also capable of emerging as young people of character, confidence, and readiness to make tangible contributions to society. The Public Sector Accounting Diploma 4 Program remains committed to supporting the development of students' potential so they can excel and make a significant impact across various fields.
