Medan, October 20, 2025 — The Faculty of Vocational Education at Universitas Sumatera Utara has once again launched its prestigious annual event, the Vocational Sports Week (PORSI) 2025, which officially opened on Monday, October 20, 2025 and will run until November 2, 2025. The opening ceremony was filled with high enthusiasm and was attended by the entire academic community of Vokasi USU, marking the start of a series of inter-study program competitions rooted in sportsmanship, togetherness, and student competitiveness.

The opening ceremony began with a joint prayer and the singing of the Indonesian national anthem, followed by welcoming remarks from the Vice Dean III of the Faculty of Vocational Education, Drs. Gustanto, M.Hum., the President of the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Vocational Education, Rifqi Akmal Harahap, and the Organizing Committee Chair, Hotmianta Simare Mare. In his remarks, Drs. Gustanto, M.Hum., expressed his hope that this event would not only serve as a sports competition, but also as a platform to strengthen solidarity among study programs.

As a symbolic gesture to mark the opening of the event, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was performed by Drs. Gustanto, M.Hum., which was met with loud applause from participants and spectators.

This year, PORSI 2025 features five exciting sports branches that are ready to heat up the competition:
