Implementation and Optimization of E-Learning Utilization within the Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara

Considering:

  1. The Rector’s Regulation of Universitas Sumatera Utara No. 04 of 2020 concerning the Implementation of E-Learning at Universitas Sumatera Utara.
  2. Priority Performance Indicator (IKP) 15 regarding Digital Services and the active utilization of e-learning in academic instruction.
  3. The commitment of the Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara, to support USU’s transformation into a Global University through the strengthening of effective, measurable, and sustainable digital learning governance.

In connection with the above and in order to improve the quality of academic services, enhance the effectiveness of the learning process, and fulfill institutional performance indicators, all lecturers within the Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara, are required to optimize the use of the USU e-learning system for every course they teach.

The implementation of learning activities through the e-learning system shall comply with the following provisions:

  1. Upload the Semester Learning Plan (RPS) to the e-learning system before the start of the semester.
  2. Upload teaching materials for each class meeting regularly and in a structured manner using formats that support digital learning.
  3. Upload learning media such as presentations, modules, instructional videos, case studies, and other supporting materials relevant to the course.
  4. Upload assignments, quizzes, and other forms of learning assessment through the e-learning system.
  5. Utilize the discussion, assignment, attendance, and assessment features available within the e-learning platform to support academic interaction between lecturers and students.
  6. Ensure that all students enrolled in a course are properly registered in the corresponding e-learning class.
  7. Regularly update and monitor learning activities to support academic performance reporting within the Faculty.
  8. Use the e-learning system as one of the primary platforms for documenting the learning process, which may serve purposes of monitoring, evaluation, academic quality assurance audits, and institutional performance measurement.
