This program is a manifestation of Universitas Sumatera Utara's commitment to supporting the development of excellent, skilled, and competent human resources in the field of tourism. Amid the rapid growth of the tourism industry, there is a strong need for a professional generation that not only masters theoretical knowledge but also possesses practical skills that meet the demands of the workforce. As a vocational program at the applied bachelor's degree (Diploma IV) level, we adopt a practice-based learning approach by implementing a “link and match” education system between academia and industry. Our curriculum is designed to be adaptive and applicable, covering areas such as travel management, destination management, hospitality, event management, and tourism entrepreneurship based on digital and sustainable principles. Through fieldwork activities, industry internships, collaborations with business actors, and lecturers with extensive experience in their respective fields, we strive to produce graduates who are not only ready to work but also ready to innovate and make meaningful contributions to the development of both the national and global tourism sectors. We believe that the Applied Bachelor's Degree Program in Tourism Business Management is the right choice for young generations who aspire to build a professional career in tourism while carrying the spirit of continuous growth and creating positive change.
