Alumni Testimonials

Thank you, Diploma Program in Library, and our lecturers. For the Diploma Program in Library, Empower the Librarian!

I completed my studies in 2017 with Honours. Of course, this predicate is influenced by the performance and intelligence of the lecturers who teach us, making us feel lectures are knowledge sharing or knowledge transfer instead of boring one-way lectures. Because at first, 97% of all of us who graduated as Library Science students did not make library science our first choice, but our last choice.

However, since our first class meeting with Mr. Prof. Jonner Hasugian, who has changed our mindset and made us fall in love with the Library. We were more excited in the lectures because of the lecturers and the compulsory courses we thought were "great," such as "Introduction to Communication " by Mrs. Hotlan Siahaan. So, the lessons taught to us have indeed been designed for us to be ready to use in the world of work.

Not surprisingly, thanks to the subjects we received in college and practical techniques in the field, I, as an ASN Librarian Candidate at the Tebing Tinggi City Regional Library and Archives Office, no longer experience technical problems related to shelving, grouping book collections (because in practice we have been equipped in the campus world and when PKL).

Thank you, Diploma Program in Library, and our lecturers. For the Diploma Program in Library, Empower the Librarian!

2014 - Librarian Staff

I am grateful to be part of the USU Diploma Program in Library.

Library Science is a major that requires expertise in information technology, management, and education to collect, organize, and store data.

Opportunities or job prospects for library majors should not be underestimated because you can work in archival institutions, documentation centers, and library services and become information specialists, civil servants, lecturers, researchers, and more. I am grateful to be part of the USU Diploma Program in Library.
