The implementation of a tax dispute trial simulation titled Moot Tax Court was held by the Diploma Program in Tax Administration, Faculty of Vocational Education USU, Tax Center USU, and IKPI Sumbagut Regional Office on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at the Multipurpose Hall of FISIP USU. This activity aims to provide an understanding of the tax dispute trial process, especially related to transfer pricing.
The event was attended by Vice Dean I of the USU Faculty of Vocational Studies M. Husni Thamrin Nasution, Chairperson of the USU's Diploma Program in Tax Administration who is also Chairperson of the North Sumatra PERTAPSI Regional Office I Faisal Eriza, USU Tax Center Staff who is also a board member of the DPP PERTAPSI Indra Efendi Rangkuti, Secretary of Pengda IKPI Sumbagut Syaflul, Elected Chairperson of the Medan IKPI Pengcab Ebenezer Simamora, IKPI Sumbagut Regional Board, lecturers of the USU's Diploma Program in Tax Administration, IKPI members and students.
Secretary of IKPI Sumbagut, Syaflul, thanked USU for collaborating with them in organizing this event. He hopes that this simulation can improve tax consultants' understanding of hearing procedures so they can properly carry out their duties in the tax court.
Vice Dean I of the USU Faculty of Vocational Education, M. Husni Thamrin Nasution, also appreciated Pengda IKPI Sumbagut's trust in organizing this activity at USU. He added that this activity is very useful for lecturers and students to understand the trial process of tax disputes, especially since tax trials currently only take place in Jakarta.
The simulation attracted the attention of many tax consultants and students, with interactive discussion sessions that allowed questions from participants. The event was closed with the handover of souvenirs between the USU Vocational Faculty and the Sumbagut IKPI Pengda and a group photo as a memento.
