The D3 Library Study Program of the Faculty of Vocational Studies of USU carried out office tour visits and observations of “Management of the Archives System” at the USU Archives in the library world, “on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at the USU Archives Office, this activity was attended by 2nd-semester students (Class of 2023). Mrs. Cut Ravina Hakim, S.sos, M.Pd as the Junior Expert Archivist of the USU Archives Office as the moderator, and Mrs. Sofy Ayu Fadillah, S.sos as the External and Internal Services Section of the USU Archives Office as Speaker 1 and other staff.
In this activity, the moderator or speaker explained the management of the archive system in the library world, the classification of archives, the usefulness of archives, and the tools used in archive storage. Students are also invited to discuss how to store and maintain good archives in a library environment. At the end of the event, the students were invited to see the archive gallery that had been stored for a long time and rent a photo together. With this observation activity, D3 Library students are expected to explore potential, see real steps in managing the archive system, and increase the promotion of reading culture and archive awareness.
