Cross-country collaboration! ProAksi × Voc4si together with TISSA UUM broaden global insights for students to be ready to compete in the international accounting world.
Medan, September 8, 2025 – The Undergraduate Accounting Study Program of FEB USU (ProAksi) in collaboration with the Applied Bachelor of Public Sector Accounting Study Program, Faculty of Vocational Education USU (Voc4si), held a Sharing Session with Postgraduate (PG) and Undergraduate (UG) students.
The event featured a guest speaker from TISSA UUM (Universiti Utara Malaysia), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arifatul Husna Binti Mohd. Ariff, Deputy Dean (Academic & International). In her presentation, she shared insights on accounting research trends, the importance of international collaboration, and strategies to prepare students to compete in the global era. The discussion was interactive, marked by critical questions from students and inspiring responses from the speaker.
“I am delighted to share knowledge and perspectives with students of FEB USU. This collaboration is not only about exchanging ideas, but also about building a stronger academic network for the future of accounting education,” said Assoc. Prof. Dr. Arifatul Husna Binti Mohd. Ariff.
The activity also received appreciation from Ms. Risanty, S.E., M.Si., Ak., CA, Secretary of the Undergraduate Accounting Study Program FEB USU (ProAksi), who highlighted the benefits of this collaboration.
“The presence of TISSA UUM brings new energy for our students. Through this sharing session, they not only learn theories but also see how research and international collaboration can open real opportunities in the future.”
Strong support was also conveyed by Sambas Ade Kesuma, S.E., M.Si., Ph.D., Ak., CA, Head of the Applied Bachelor of Public Sector Accounting Study Program, Faculty of Vocational Education USU (Voc4si).
“This sharing session provides an important space for students to directly see how cross-country collaboration can open new perspectives. We hope this collaborative spirit will continue to flourish and inspire the future development of accounting.”
