Universitas Sumatera Utara Renews Memorandum of Understanding with DJP Regional Office of North Sumatra I
Medan, 17 July 2024 – Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) renewal ceremony with the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) Regional Office of North Sumatra I on Wednesday, 17 July 2024, in the Academic Senate Meeting Room at USU's Bureau. The event was attended by the Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Vocational Education, Dr. Drs. Muhammad Husni Thamrin, M.Si., and the Head of the Diploma Program in Tax Administration, Faisal Eriza, S.Sos., MSP, as representatives of the Faculty of Vocational Education.
As part of this collaboration, the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP) North Sumatra I has established a Tax Center at USU. This initiative serves as a means to assist the public by providing consultation services regarding taxation and its payment procedures. Additionally, the Tax Center supports curriculum development, particularly for the Diploma Program in Tax Administration at USU's Faculty of Vocational Education.
USU Rector, Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., highlighted that this partnership would encompass education, research, community service, and the further development of the Tax Center.
Following the MoU renewal, a public lecture titled "Getting to Know Taxes Better" was conducted. The lecture was attended by students from the Diploma Program in Tax Administration, Faculty of Vocational Education. The session also featured Lusi Yuliani, representing the Directorate's Counseling, Service, and Public Relations Division, and Dr. Arida Susilowati, S.Hut., M.Si., as the Manager of USU's Tax Center.
