Medan – The Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), through the Diploma Program in Tax Administration in collaboration with the USU Tax Center and the USU Finance Bureau, participated in organizing the Tax Corner Activity for the submission of Individual Income Tax Returns (SPT PPh OP). The activity was held on March 11–12, 2026, from 09:30 to 15:30 WIB at the Ex-ULT Room, 1st Floor, Rectorate Building, USU.
The event was attended by the Head of the Diploma Program in Tax Administration of the Faculty of Vocational Education USU, USU Tax Center staff, the Head of Supervision Section V of KPP Pratama Medan Polonia, administrative staff of the Diploma Program in Tax Administration, staff from KPP Pratama Medan Polonia, Tax Volunteers for the Nation (Renjani) from the USU Tax Center, as well as lecturers and administrative staff of USU who utilized the service to fulfill their tax obligations.
The Tax Corner was established to provide assistance and guidance to the academic community in completing their 2025 Individual Income Tax Returns (SPT PPh OP) accurately and on time through the Coretax system, as well as offering tax consultation services.
Prior to the Tax Corner activity, on March 10, 2026, the Outreach Team from KPP Pratama Medan Polonia conducted an online socialization session on the procedures for filing the 2025 Individual Income Tax Returns (SPT PPh OP) through the Coretax system for the academic community of Universitas Sumatera Utara.
Representing the Head of KPP Pratama Medan Polonia, Josualam Sinaga expressed appreciation to USU for its support and facilitation in organizing the Tax Corner. He noted that the presence of the Tax Corner within the university environment is expected to provide convenience while increasing taxpayer awareness and compliance in fulfilling tax obligations.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Diploma Program in Tax Administration at USU, Faisal Eriza, expressed gratitude to KPP Pratama Medan Polonia for entrusting USU as one of the locations for the 2026 Tax Corner program. He encouraged all members of the USU academic community to take full advantage of the service to overcome challenges and misunderstandings in filing tax returns through the Coretax system.
Through this activity, it is hoped that public awareness and compliance, particularly among the USU academic community, in fulfilling tax obligations will continue to improve.
