The Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), will hold a Socialization Session on Study Leave Regulations and Financial Assistance for Lecturers on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. WIB until completion. The event will take place in Rooms 203–204, 2nd Floor, Building B, Faculty of Vocational Education.

The activity is being held as a follow-up to Rector’s Regulation of Universitas Sumatera Utara No. 42 of 2025, which amends Rector’s Regulation No. 30 of 2023 concerning Financial Assistance for Study Leave for seconded Civil Servants and Permanent Employees within Universitas Sumatera Utara.

The socialization session is intended for lecturers who have not yet continued their education to the Doctoral (Ph.D.) level. Participants will receive study information leave regulations, financial assistance mechanisms, as well as available financial support for competency or professional certification within USU.

The topics to be discussed include:

Socialization of Study Leave Regulations;
Socialization of Financial Assistance Regulations for Study Leave; and
Socialization of Financial Assistance Regulations for Competency/Professional Certification.

Through this activity, the Faculty of Vocational Education USU encourages lecturers to take advantage of various competency development programs and opportunities to pursue doctoral-level education. These efforts are expected to strengthen the quality of human resources while supporting continuous improvements in the quality of higher education at Universitas Sumatera Utara.
