Vocational education is currently one of the most sought-after higher education programs. This growing interest is driven by the increasing demand from industries and the workforce for skilled and competent professionals, particularly in the fields of Secretarial Studies and Digital Office Administration.
To meet these demands, the University of Sumatera Utara plans to establish the Applied Bachelor’s Degree Program in Digital Office Administration, designed to produce graduates who are competent in Secretarial Studies, Digital Office Management, and Digital Business Management. The Digital Office Administration Study Program at the Faculty of Vocational Studies, University of Sumatera Utara, offers two concentrations: Digital Business Management and Digital Office Management. Graduates of this program are expected to pursue careers as Office Administrative Assistants, Entrepreneur Event Organizers (EO), Office Administrative Managers, or Public Relations Officers in government and private institutions, both nationally and internationally, according to their chosen concentration. This program is therefore committed to producing professional graduates who are fully prepared to compete in the modern workforce.

The Applied Bachelor’s Degree (D4) Program in Digital Office Administration envisions becoming a provider of vocational education in the field of Digital Office Administration that upholds noble character, independence, and strong competitiveness at the regional, national, and global levels.
- To provide applied bachelor’s degree education that produces professional, moral, and ethical graduates based on the BINTANG values (Faithful, Innovative, Resilient, and Wise).
- Developing project-based learning and field practice that instill the values of integrity, innovation, and public accountability.
- Promoting digitalization and sustainability (ESG) through curriculum, student activities, and collaborations with the Business and Industrial World (DUDI).
- Producing graduates who are devoted, professional, and work-ready, as well as capable of making meaningful contributions to organizations and society.
- Developing program governance that is prudent, participatory, and oriented toward vocational excellence.
Goals & Targets
- Producing graduates who understand financial accounting practices in the public sector, public sector management accounting, public sector auditing, public sector taxation, financial information systems in the public sector, and accounting in the field of public sector education.
- This program aims for graduates of the Applied Bachelor’s Degree Program in Public Sector Accounting to pursue careers in government institutions such as the Governor’s Office, Mayor’s Office, and Regent’s Office. In addition, the program also expects its graduates to work in institutions such as the Audit Board of Indonesia (BPK), the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), Regional Tax Offices, Public Accounting Firms, Accounting Service Firms, or as educational accountants in state-owned enterprises (BUMN), as well as in private banking sectors both national and international. The program also encourages its graduates to become successful entrepreneurs and opens opportunities for other career paths.
