English as Language
English as Language
English research topics include language aspects such as semantics, morphology, syntax, phonology, social semiotics, and social context. It also covers language in the fields of translation and professionalism.
English Literature
English Literature
English literature research topics include poetry, prose, and drama in English.
English Culture
English Culture
Research topics in English culture include social strata, economics, politics, religion and beliefs, and science and technology in English culture.
Intended Learning Outcomes
Students of the Diploma Program in English Language Study are expected :
Capable of translating language texts in professional/institutional fields by using the translation theories that have been taught and mastered.
Capable of using proper and accurate English, both verbally and in writing, in official and unofficial communication in both academic and non-academic fields.
Capable of conducting research by utilizing the principles of methods related to linguistic and literary issues.
Capable of having critical thinking and being able to provide alternatives to problems related to linguistic and literary culture.
Capable of being creative and having initiative in integrating various skills that support competence in anticipating various community problems.
