Medan, May 26, 2025 – In preparation for the 10th Indonesian Vocational Olympiad (OLIVIA) 2025, the Faculty of Vocational Education at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held a Coaching Clinic: Training and Mentoring for OLIVIA, conducted at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Vocational Education, USU.

The event began with opening remarks from the Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Vocational Education USU, Dr. Muhammad Husni Thamrin, M.Si., who emphasized that OLIVIA is more than just a competition—it is a platform to showcase the quality and potential of vocational students at the national level.

“The Faculty of Vocational Education at USU continues to encourage and support students to participate and emerge as champions. This coaching clinic is part of a serious and structured mentoring process,” said Dr. Drs. Muhammad Husni Thamrin, M.Si.

During the main session, the moderator invited the two reviewers—Dr. Ir. Zikri Noer, S.Si., M.Si and Suri Mutia Siregar, S.Psi., M.Psi.—to lead the coaching clinic. In this session, each team from the Faculty of Vocational Education USU had the opportunity to present their ideas and project plans, receiving feedback from the reviewers to improve content quality, proposal structure, and effective presentation strategies.

The atmosphere was interactive and full of enthusiasm. Participants were actively engaged in discussions and receptive to the constructive feedback aimed at refining their work. The session strengthened technical readiness and helped build confidence and determination among the students as they prepare for OLIVIA 2025.

Through this event, the Faculty of Vocational Education at USU demonstrated its firm commitment to developing vocational students who are competent in their respective fields and ready to compete and excel at the national level.
