Monday, October 21, 2024 v- The USU Faculty of Vocational Education held a Competency Improvement Workshop in Preparation for the Establishment of the USU Vocational Teaching Factory. This activity was attended by Ms. Ria Anggraini, S.ST., MBA, CDTP as the Training and Business Tax Center Division of Batam State Polytechnic, which was welcomed by Prof. Dr. Isfenti Sadalia, S.E., M.E. as the Dean of the Faculty of Vocational Education along with the ranks of the USU Faculty of Vocational Education. The Competency Improvement Workshop for the Preparation of Teaching Factory (TEFA) organized by the Faculty of Vocational Education is a strategic step in preparing to establish Teaching Factory at the USU Faculty of Vocational Education.

This activity aims to provide insight and an in-depth understanding of the learning model that integrates the industrial atmosphere into the university environment so that it is hoped that the university can produce quality products for the industry. Through public lectures held in the framework of this activity, lecturers are expected to prepare a Project-Based Learning (PBL) based learning curriculum integrated with the utilization of Teaching Factory.
This activity aims to provide a broader perspective on PBL learning methods that utilize the Teaching Factory by inviting experienced speakers, improving the competence of lecturers and the quality of education at the Faculty of Vocational Education.
