Medan, June 22, 2026 – The Diploma Program in Food and Pharmaceutical Analyst, Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara (Universitas Sumatera Utara), organized a Competency Exam Try-Out Training as an effort to improve student readiness in facing the National Competency Examination (UKOMNAS) for Vocational Diploma Pharmacy Education (PDVF).

This activity was designed to provide training as well as a Computer-Based Test (CBT) simulation for prospective graduates of the Diploma Program in Food and Pharmaceutical Analyst, ensuring they gain a comprehensive understanding of the procedures involved in the national competency examination they will undertake.

The try-out was attended by 40 students from the 2023 cohort who are being prepared as UKOMNAS PDVF participants. Through this simulation, students experienced exam conditions similar to the actual test environment, helping them develop academic readiness, time management skills, and adaptation to computer-based examination systems.

The activity was held at the Multimedia Laboratory and Computer Laboratory 2 of the Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara. To ensure orderly and standardized implementation, each room was supervised by one invigilator responsible for monitoring the simulation process throughout its duration.

Through this try-out program, the Diploma Program in Food and Pharmaceutical Analyst hopes students will be better prepared for the National Competency Examination, gain greater confidence, and achieve optimal results as part of their journey toward becoming competent vocational graduates ready to enter the workforce.
