Medan, 28 July 2026 – The Diploma Program in Food and Pharmaceutical Analyst, Faculty of Vocational Education, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), organized a Competency Examination Preparation Workshop for the 2023 cohort. Held in Room 104 of the Faculty of Pharmacy, USU, the activity was attended by 38 students as part of the program's commitment to preparing them for the competency examination, an important milestone before entering the professional workforce.

The workshop was led by Dr. Dewi Pertiwi, S.Farm., M.Si., Apt., who provided comprehensive guidance on the competency examination materials, test-taking strategies, and key aspects students should prepare. Through this session, participants strengthened their understanding of the core competencies in food and pharmaceutical analysis while also enhancing their mental preparedness and confidence for the examination.
Throughout the workshop, students participated in discussions, reviewed frequently tested topics, and completed practice questions as part of a mock examination. This hands-on approach was designed to help participants identify areas requiring further study while improving their ability to answer questions in accordance with the competency examination standards.

The preparation workshop reflects the commitment of the Diploma Program in Food and Pharmaceutical Analyst, Faculty of Vocational Education, USU, to producing competent, professional graduates who are well-prepared to compete in the workforce. Through thorough preparation, the program expects all students to perform optimally in the competency examination and demonstrate the competencies required by the pharmaceutical, food, and healthcare sectors.
