Dissemination of Research and Community Service
The USU Faculty of Vocational Studies held a Research and Community Service Dissemination activity titled “Accelerating the Improvement of Research and Community Service in Vocational Education on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, at the USU Faculty of Vocational Studies Hall. Dissemination is an important part of scientific research because it aims to disseminate research results, findings, and innovations to the general public. this process can be done in various ways, such as through publications, presentations, and other activities. Prof. Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, S.Si, M.Si., Apt (Vice Rector III for Research, Community Service and Cooperation of USU) was the resource person in this activity.
Dean of the Faculty of Vocational Studies of USU, Prof. Dr. Isfenti Sadalia, SE, ME, in his speech, explained that the Faculty of Vocational Studies of USU is committed to following up the results of research and service carried out by lecturers of the Faculty of Vocational Studies of USU. On this occasion they conducted an evaluation of a number of research and services that had been carried out, there were many posters on display covering the results of several studies. The Dean of the USU Faculty of Vocational Studies reported in detail that Scopus accredited 36 international publications, the total citations of all lecturers reached 176 and 21 studies passed the USU TALENTA research and there were 16 Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) achieved in 2023. This publication process is carried out to achieve the Main Performance Indicators (IKU) value. The Faculty of Vocational Studies also advised that what has been proposed can be implemented because research conducted by lecturers produces products. Finally, the Dean of the Faculty of Vocational Studies hopes that this achievement will increase next year. Faculty of Vocational Studies tries to encourage the lecturers considering the focus of the faculty as an applied faculty, it is expected that the Faculty of Vocational Studies can produce products that are beneficial to the community.
